The Countdown — We Love Rock

Kulturhuus Häbse
Saturday, 19 October
19:30-22:00

The Basler Countdowns are one of the oldest rock bands in Switzerland. The only remaining member of the original line-up is band founder Claude Pfau. Today—59 years later—the second generation is at the helm. The two Countdowns daughters Linda Spiess and Céline Rickli-Pfau have since mutated from background singers to full-blooded front women and really get things going. Senior Bernie Spiess "dr Bärni" and passionate drummer Oliver Widmer are still part of the band. The new bassist is veteran rocker Daniel "Lele" Cecarelli.
If you want to experience an evening of the sound of the sixties and seventies—classic rock—in the company of former young people and young-at-heart old people, the Countdowns are the right place for you.
Tickets are CHF 40.
