The Dark Tenor — Classic Roxx Tour 2023
Finally! In 2023, Billy Andrews, aka The Dark Tenor, will be giving concerts with a full band in Switzerland for the first time in two years. And there is a special surprise—the mask is back! His alter ego, the Phantom, is alive and will share the scenes with Andrews.
Andrews has always been about the fusion of big rock, anthemic pop melodies, and true classical music—a concept that can only unfold to its full potential on the hottest stages in the country. That's exactly where his music and the impressive stage show belong. The Dark Tenor will again present his special vision of a new, fascinating world of classical music, fitted into the modern age and driven by a passionate desire to make his audience feel what the great composers imagined centuries ago when the original compositions were created. These old classical pieces come from a time when experiencing music was a significant experience; they come from a world in which there was no sound reinforcement on every corner and concerts were sacred.
With his current "Icons Trilogy" (in which he takes on the works of Bach, Beethoven and, in 2022, also Mozart), Andrews proves that the merging of classical music with the means of pop and rock is his great love. His "Classic Roxx" tour includes new hits like "When You Roar" and "Out of the Darkness" live for the first time, framed by successful songs like "Ode to Joy," "River Flows on Edge," "Wild Horses," "Hurricane," and "The Hunger." A new, impressive stage show awaits the audience that will lead all facets of the Dark Tenor, his past and the present, into a new future. Because his mission as a classic rebel has only just begun.
Tickets are CHF 51.80 for standing room only.
