The Tarantinos are seven musicians from London who are inspired by their obsessive fascination with Quentin Tarantino's 90s zeitgeist. They play the most famous hits from the cult films “Kill Bill,” “Reservoir Dogs,” “Pulp Fiction,” “Jackie Brown,” “Dusk Til Dawn,” “Deathproof,” “Inglorious Basterds,” as well as the more recent Tarantino films such as “Django Unchained,” “The Hateful Eight,” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” The band embodies the style and attitude of the films and mixes the music with film soundtracks, re-enactments, sophisticated choreography, and sharp costumes.
The program includes the rock 'n' roll / surf classics “Miserlou,” “Never Can Tell,” “Bang Bang,” “Woo Hoo,” “Green Hornet;” the funk and Latin rock-influenced “Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood,” “Jungle Boogie,” and “110th Street;” and the soul ballad “Son of a Preacher Man.”
The Tarantinos have played successful concerts in the United Kingdom and most of Central and Eastern Europe; performed at many festivals throughout Europe; and shared the stage as a supporting act with a variety of artists, including Van Morrison, Pulp, and The Prodigy. Their biggest show to date was in Budapest as the be main support act for P!NK, where they played to over 300,000 people!
