Trinity
Formed by three Dutch brothers who grew up as missionary children in Lima, Peru, Trinity consists of Elbert (lead vocals, flute, saxophone), Johan (acoustic guitar), and Niek Smelt (drums & percussion), along with Bert Bos (bass) who grew up in the Netherlands. Trinity is a worldbeat band that fuses South American and Irish folklore with African beats and pop grooves to create a unique, acoustic music experience.
During their time in Peru, the Smelt brothers swapped English lessons for lessons in indigenous instruments and organically discovered the essence of Peruvian street music. This essence still lives today in Trinity's music and the band's vision to connect with people of all backgrounds. Trinity's latest album, “The in Between,” produced by Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning producers Ian Eskelin and Barry Weeks, includes singles such as "Living to Love," "Are You," "Anthem of Love," and "Wherever We Go," as well as the radio favorite "Alive Again," that have been featured by numerous outlets and have been played by radio stations from coast to coast across America.
Tickets are CHF 35 in advance and CHF 40 at the door (CHF 5 discount for students).
