Ukrainian Classical Ballet — Swan Lake
Rarely has there been so much drama on a ballet stage as in "Swan Lake" when we witness an evil sorcerer banishing young women into swan bodies. Only at the witching hour can they assume their original form. One night a prince comes along the way and falls in love with one of the women. The sorcerer does everything to prevent the two from getting together, but in the end, love triumphs over hate. Today, it is impossible to imagine the world's theaters without "Swan Lake" with Tchaikovsky's moving music. However, the premiere was not a success; only the St. Petersburg new version with the virtuoso choreography by Petipa and Ivanov brought the breakthrough. The version of the Ukrainian Classical Ballet is also based on this version. Especially the "white acts" with the dancers in tutus have become the epitome of "classical" ballet and cause enthusiasm among young and old.
Tickets are € 39-56 for adults and € 12 for youths.
