In the anniversary year 2025, the keyboard magicians are offering a promising and attractive novelty: "United Pianist—from Duke to Bud"! Three of the best Italian pianists—Rita Marcotulli, Francesca Tandoi, and Dado Moroni—together with Danny Grissett, are presenting a project that has it all and which promises to be a great spectacle that puts the legendary pianists Duke Ellington, Oscar Peterson, and Bud Powell at the center of attention. The history of the jazz piano is brought to the stage in a very creative way. The focus is on famous compositions, but also on the special interpretation of the four virtuosos. Marcotulli has long been part of the crème de la crème of Italian jazz, and the jazz pianist and singer Tandoi, who comes from Rome, is celebrated by critics and experts as an up-and-coming jazz star and one of the most exciting young talents on the international jazz scene. The concert will be a piano high point in the Volkshaus Basel!
