Life has many forms and is interconnected. Through things, stories and contemporary art, the new permanent exhibition “Alive — More Than Human Worlds” at the Museum der Kulturen highlights the coexistence of different beings and worlds.
In many parts of the world, people regard and experience their co-world as active and animated: mountains and rivers are not mere resources and sceneries, but powerful sources of life; plants and animals are not simply food, but companions; ancestors and spirits are present in everyday life. Local perspectives and alternative forms of togetherness suggest paths to shared futures, and challenge us to rethink and reshape the relations with our co-world. The new exhibition explores these perspectives.
On this evening, everybody is welcomed to the opening of this new permanent exhibition. Weather permitting, speeches and drinks will be held outside in the museum courtyard.
Entrance is free; no registration is required.
