The towers of the Basler Münster offer breathtaking views of Basel as well as neighboring France and Germany. You can climb the 250 steps to the top of the towers any time of the year for a cost of CHF 6 per person. Entrance to the towers closes 30 minutes before the cathedral closes. The view from the towers can be especially beautiful during the Christmas season, when the city sparkles with holiday lights. During the three weeks leading up to Christmas, the towers can be visited until 18:00, and the stairs leading up to the top are lit from 16:00-18:00. Note that the last entry is at 17:30, and you always need a minimum of two people.
Entrance is CHF 6 for adults and CHF 4 for students; children under age 14 are free.
