WBZ Garage Flea Market
The Wohn- und Bürozentrum für Körperbehinderte (WBZ) is a lively organization that provides barrier-free qualified jobs and living arrangements for people with disabilities. They generate a large part of their financial means with their own services and products, to supplement the pensions of the residents, public contributions, and private donations. They receive donations of top-quality items all year round that are inspected, cleaned, and sorted by residents and volunteers alike. These items are then sold to raise money for this important organization by holding several cherished flea markets throughout the year, including a 4-day collectors’ flea market in October, as well as three clothing markets and three “garage” flea market throughout the year.
On this day, there will be a “garage flea market” where you can expect to find seasonal items like garden furniture and equipment, summer sports items, and much more.
The WBZ can be reached by tram 11, stop called “Landererstrasse.” If you live in the area and would like to volunteer some time, new helpers are always welcome throughout the year for sorting, repairing, washing, and storing, as well as setting up, decorating, and selling for the various flea markets—a diverse and interesting task that contributes to the well-being of people with disabilities.
Entrance is free.
