Since 2007, the year the “STIMMEN in Advent” series was born, the program has included the unmistakable sound of the vocal trio White Raven, which includes soprano Kathleen Dineen, baritone Mathias Spöri, and tenor Matthieu Romanens. The breathtaking mix of these three wonderful voices is one of the secrets that make this singing trio successful. Their very special sound comes from their polyphony and unmistakable voice leading. The diverse programs draw from a rich repertoire of Sean-nós-style songs, traditional Irish and Scottish ballads, and a range of beautiful Christmas carols. There also will be readings (in German) by Doris Wolters of the works “Curriculum Vitae” and “It's been a long time” by Irish playwright and novelist John B. Keane (1928-2002).
