Wilde is an energetic and highly productive team of seasoned musicians who have been enriching the Basel music scene in various bands since the 1980s. After decades of songwriting and stage experience, they still come across as fresh and direct live as at their first gig. Wilde dive deep into the musical DNA of pop history and present their own melodious and elegantly arranged songs. Their sound is characterized by the pop rock of the swinging 60s, prog rock, psychedelic influences, and playful arrangements of the 80s. But the songwriting is central; the sound always serves the song.
The duo Amoa & Sandro will be the supporting act on this evening. With her delicate music, the Basel artist Andrea Thoma (aka Amoa) creates a dream world that carries atmospheric images with melancholic hope. The sounds range from piercingly clear to tenderly barren, and their debut album “You,” released in 2021, contains 11 pieces that draw the listener into a gentle whirlpool of free associations. Music for wallowing and train rides and trip-hop is brought back on a quiet note.
