Wildwuchs is a multi-day cultural festival that comprises all sectors of the arts, including music, theater, dance, literature, lectures, readings, visual arts, architecture, design, fashion, and performance. This year’s program includes regional, national, and international works of high artistic merit from disabled and non-disabled artists that will also be addressing social topics, including migration and refugees, the difficult life of sex workers, life in dormitories, prejudice, homosexuality, and the circle of life.
In the festival center at the Kaserne, there will also be fine food from the “Restaurant du coeur” from the early in the evening—including vegetarian and vegan options. Of course, it also has a bar, as well as various opportunities to linger and exchange ideas. The festival center will have a lot to offer in terms of content—various performances and dialogue formats take place here, and there are DJ sets until 23:00 on four evenings.
In addition to the festival center at Kaserne Basel, the various artistic works will be shown at the Theater Roxy in Birsfelden, Kasko Basel, and other locations. Visit their website for a complete program listing with times and locations.
