Winter Sessions is a concert series at the Markthalle presenting indie music that provides a platform primarily for artists from the region. The genres are broad—from Americana, neo folk, and acoustic rock to jazz and experimental pop.
The first winter session in 2024 will feature the three musicians of Copy Laser Telefax. They are in the moment, inspired by the past, but also torn on the way to an accelerated future. Fragments of memories and the examination of digital possibilities and personal production characterize the music of this project from Basel and Lucerne. Since 2019, the band has been devoting themselves to their own mix of different styles, which includes 90s rock, chanting, electric guitars, and experiments with electronic, spherical sounds.
Entrance is free but there will be a collection.
