Festival hits and acrobatics! At exactly 5:07 p.m. on August 15, 1969, Richie Havens opened the legendary Woodstock Festival and made history. The performances of the numerous folk and rock musicians during the following days are still part of the collective memory around the world more than 50 years later.
The myth remains unbroken. The Berlin Wintergarten Varieté now lets you experience the special feeling of the festival again in an acclaimed show to the sound of love, peace, and happiness. World-famous artists create their own choreographies to songs by Santana, Janis Joplin, and Joe Cocker. Festival hits by Melanie, Jimi Hendrix, and The Who become acrobatic images on stage. Artistic body art meets rousing live music in the show. Together, they convey to the audience a message that is timeless and universal and that has lost none of its relevance, especially today: “Make Love, not War!”
