At World meets Basel (WmB), more than 30 cultural associations and artists will present their homeland and take Basel with them on a trip around the world (Spain, India, Greece, Italy, Thailand, Egypt, Brazil, Japan, and more). The WmB offers its visitors a unique insight into foreign cultures and lets them experience what the world has to offer up close. A wide range of food stands with delicacies from all over the world awaits you.
There will be numerous stands by cultural association and the tasting portions of CHF 5 invite you to try out every stand. As the festival's host city, Basel is home to a large number of cultural associations that reflect the diversity of the city and that want to show off their cultures of origin to others. No idea what cornrows are? No problem. The cultural associations not only offer information about their countries, but also services such as braiding cornrows on the spot for a voluntary donations. And if you want to treat yourself to a break, you can enjoy impressive shows from different cultures on the WmB stage. Be there as the WmB connects and unites under the motto “Show your culture, be your culture.”
