Come and witness the International Badminton Grand Prix Gold Tournament that will be taking place at the St. Jakobshalle in Basel. Teams from around the world prove themselves in the tournament, doubles are checked out, and young players try new moves and leave lasting impressions. Badminton fans can expect to discover new players and talents at the Badminton Swiss Open.
The competition will be exciting and dramatic, with smashes clocking in at over 400 km/h. The world ranking players will be competing for prize money of $ 210,000, as well as important qualification points for the Olympic Games in Paris at the end of July. This year’s tournament is expecting world-class players from around 50 nations. For the expected 15,000 spectators, there will also be restaurants, bars, and other food; betting stations; and entertainment to make it an exciting event for all!
Entrance on Tuesday (qualification and 1st round) and Wednesday (1/16 finals) is free (no ticket needed). Tickets for Thursday (1/8-finals) and Friday (quarter-finals) are CHF 36.40 (CHF 21 for students), and tickets for Saturday (semifinals) and Sunday (finals) are CHF 46.60 for adults and CHF 26.20 for persons under age 25; kids up to age 6 are free on all days (no ticket needed)!
