For the first time, there will be a Young-Festival-Stage concert at Sudhaus Basel, which has been curated by Aline Meyer. She has selected two bands for this club night in the Sudhaus atmosphere that are among the young guns of the Swiss scene. Asra was formed around the Jazzcampus Basel, and Siselabonga is from Bern. Both have developed an independent, new sound—not traditional pure jazz. Like the other two Young-Festival-Stage concerts that will take place at the Jazzcampus on April 20 and 21, this evening is intended to give the younger generation the attention it deserves. A breath of fresh air, new names, the next generation as part of the offbeat jazz festival—a pioneering premiere! Asra will play at 20:00 and Siselabonga will take the stage at 21:20 (doors open at 19:30).
Tickets are CHF 41.20 for seats and CHF 22.90 for standing room.
