Station Circus and Kaserne once again invite you to discover the world of contemporary circus arts in Basel through their project Zirka Zirkus. Come and discover experiments that blur the lines between circus, performance, theater, dance, music, and visual arts as well as light and media design both in the circus tent at Dreispitz (Station Circus) and at the Reithalle at Kaserne Basel.
As part of Zirka Zirkus, Compagnie 7bis presents a double evening with the two pieces, “Instante” and “Lontano.” In both productions, everything revolves around the virtuoso exploration of the Cyr wheel. Argentinian artist Juan Ignacio Tula and Italian artist Marica Marinoni challenge their own limits through dance and movement, taking their audience on two hypnotic journeys that turn their relationship to time upside down.
