There are two different tours available for Basel—one that focuses on Basel’s historic old town, starts at Barfüsserplatz, and is available in English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish; and one that focuses on Kleinbasel, starts at Marktplatz, and is available in English and German.

All you need to get started are a smartphone with an active internet connection, the free Explorial app and a valid ticket for each player. Once you’ve entered the game code in the app, you can choose the language in which you’d like to play. Different players within a group can even play in different languages. Once you have purchased the tickets, you can start to play anytime; no booking is required. The game typically takes about 1 to 2 hours, but there are no time limits, so you can explore Basel at your own pace. Tickets to play are CHF 14 per person and can be purchased directly from the website.
