Ice Hockey U18 World Championship

April 20-30

The International Ice Hockey Federation’s (IIHF) U18 World Championship is an annual event for national under-18 ice hockey teams from around the world. The tournament is usually played in April and is organized according to a system similar to the Ice Hockey World Championships and the IIHF World Junior Championship.

The 2023 World Championships will be played entirely in northwestern Switzerland this time, with all 31 games being played either at the St. Jakob-Arena in Basel or in Porrentruy (JU), about one hour from Basel. You can watch the A-Teams from Canada, Sweden, Germany, Czechia, and Slovakia as well as the B-Teams from USA, Switzerland, Finland, Norway, and Latvia face off to determine the best in the world. Both the Gold-medal game and the Bronze-medal game will be played in Basel on April 30! Tickets range from CHF 10-25 for adults (Seats), CHF 5-10 for standing room, and free for youths up to age 16.
