Inspiration 12 — Animals

Dreiländermuseum Lörrach
Until April 5, 2026

The inclusive art project “Inspiration” has been held annually at the Dreiländermuseum (Three Countries Museum) since 2013. Now, for the 12th time—and for the last time in this format—people with disabilities from Germany, France, and Switzerland are engaging with artworks from the Lörrach museum’s collection. The original pieces become sources of inspiration for them to create their own artistic works. Inspiration 12 is dedicated to the animal kingdom: fabulous, mythical, tame or wild, exotic or native. A dozen paintings have been selected to inspire the participants. The resulting exhibition fosters a vibrant dialogue between the works from the museum’s collection, the new creations, the artists themselves, and the viewers.

As the series concludes, issue 12 is now moving from the Hebelsaal to the large special exhibition area of the Dreiländermuseum on the first floor, where more works will be presented in a more spacious setting. The major special exhibition will be accompanied by an attractive supporting program.
