“Jurassic World: The Exhibition” is coming to Basel! This exciting exhibit, which is based on one of the greatest blockbusters in movie history, allows you to get closer to dinosaurs than ever before! You can immerse yourself in scenes that were inspired by the movie so that the park, which only had been a promise, comes to live—right before your eyes.

For this breathtaking adventure, you take a ferry to the mysterious island, Isla Nublar, and enter through the gigantic gates of Jurassic World. You can wander beneath an imposing brachiosaurus, meet wild raptors, experience the most dangerous of all dinosaurs—Tyrannosaurus Rex—up close, and so much more. But at this spectacular experience, you not only meet life-size dinosaurs and experience the world of these Jurassic giants, you also can discover the science behind this fascinating world. In a “creation lab,” the geneticists of Jurassic World investigate the secrets of the past to bring dinosaurs back to life—for example, by extracting dinosaur DNA from mosquitos encased in amber.

The exhibition takes place at the Messe Basel and is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 10:00-18:00 and Friday, Saturday, and during holidays from 10:00-20:00. Last entrance is 1 hour before closing. Tickets are for entrance during a certain time window; once you enter the exhibition, however, you can stay as long as you like.

Ticket prices vary depending on the day; for adults (from age 17) they start from CHF 44.60, youth (ages 10-16) from CHF 39.50, and kids (ages 5-9) from CHF 34.40.
