New Public Transport Timetables from December 11!

If you are among the many who use public transport on a regular basis, you should be aware that the timetables for the SBB and TNW change every year; this year the change occurs on Sunday, December 11. Be sure to take a close look at the new timetables to see if there have been any changes and to allow plenty of time to accommodate for any changes in your schedule.

In Basel, the BVB have announced that in the evenings, the trams and buses on some lines will run at more frequent intervals. This affects trams 6 and 8 as well as buses 30 and 36, which will run at shorter intervals than previously from Monday to Saturday from 20:00-20:30. Also, the night bus line N21 will now end at the new stop “Dreiländereck,” which will allow people to travel to and from that popular entertainment location by public transport. Also note that with the new timetables, the BVB is making some changes to the routing of the trams and buses in front of the SBB train station. Thus, tram 8 towards Kleinhüningen/Weil am Rhein will no longer cross in front of the SBB station towards platform J but via a new track to platform F. For a full listing of the changes instituted by the BVB, see https://www.tnw.ch/assets/images/content/221018_TNW-Aktuell_22_web.pdf.
