Pay Import Costs Online for Postal Items

When you order items online or receive gifts sent to you from abroad, you will often have to pay import costs. The Swiss Post now allows you to conveniently pay for these costs (up to CHF 100) of your postal items online. From now on, the Swiss Post will notify you via “My consignments” when you have import costs to pay for goods from abroad. In just a few clicks, you can settle amounts of up to CHF 100 and receive the consignment at your front door without fuss. You can also choose where and how you would like your consignment delivered. There are a wide range of payment methods available (credit card, PostFinance card, PostFinance e-finance, and TWINT), and the customs invoice can be viewed and downloaded in “My consignments.” You can of course continue to pay at your front door; however, if you no longer want to be scrambling for cash or paying by TWINT on the spot, you now have the option of paying online. For more information about the “My consignments” online service, visit www.swisspost.ch/my-consignments.
