Baselbieter Bierpfad (Baselland Beer Path)

Buus, Baselland

From April to the end of October, you can get to know regional beers from the Basel region by hiking the Baselbieter Bierpfad (Baselland beer path) near Buus! You start at the Rössli restaurant in Buus and follow a prescribed hiking route. Ice-cold beer and a suitable snack await you at various farms as a small reward. A beer menu, accompanied by the last beer, rounds off the culinary journey of the Baselbieter beer path and awaits you in the Restaurant Rössli, Hauptstrasse 3, 4463 Buus, where it all began.

You will start at Restaurant Rössli, where you exchange your online ticket on site and receive your coupons for beer and food, as well as strengthen yourself with guacamole, chips, and a soup. Your next stop is at the Texas Longhorn Ranch, where a freshly chilled beer and the matching dry sausages from longhorn beef with local breadsticks await you in the fridge. Then make your way to the Dornhof farm, where you will be spoiled with seasonal snacks baked by the Dornhof team themselves along with the right beer for you. Next, a chilled beer and a delicious souvenir to take home (or on the go) await you at the Hardhof farm. The hike finally ends back at the starting point, the Rössli restaurant, a crowning finale with a last beer and chicken wings in a suitable beer breading. A vegetarian option is available on request.

The whole 7.7 km path will take you about 2 hours to complete. It is bookable from April to the end of October, on Tuesday to Sunday. Cost is CHF 69 per person and includes 5 x 33 cl beer, all food, water for the trip, and the route plan with a detailed (EN, DE, ES) directions. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
