The GGG Stadtbibliothek Basel West, together with the Anglican Church of Basel, American Women’s Club of Basel, Basel Irish Club, and Centrepoint Basel, will be holding a book sale for pre-loved English-language books on April 20 from 10:00-14:00. They are starting fresh this year, with only newly donated books. Therefore, they are in need of good donations. So if you are doing your spring cleaning and decluttering your book shelves and you have any English-language books you no longer need, they are accepting donations from April 2-19. They are asking for fiction in excellent condition and non-fiction books (copyright 2018-2024) in excellent condition, as well as LPs/records. Please no damaged books, schoolbooks, activity books, DVDs, discs, VHS, or cassette tapes.

You can drop off your donations at the Basel West Library (Allschwilerstrasse 90, Basel 4055) during their opening hours (Tuesday to Friday 10:00-18:00, Saturday 10:00-16:00).

Be sure to come by the book sale on April 20 from 10:00-17:00 to refresh your own collection at this event, which will also feature a bake sale as well as a beer tasting from Hard Labor Brew and musical entertainment from the local music group, the Welsh Kates, at 15:00.
