Committed to the creation and development of a new repertoire, the artistic project Altera Inde (Diego Carretero & Sara Zazo) delves into the heart of the contemporary music scene. By collaborating with composers and commissioning new works, Altera Inde aims to expand the saxophone duo repertoire and highlight the artistic expressions of our time. With a musical career spanning over a decade, the duo has performed in prestigious venues and festivals across Europe, establishing itself as a solid and renowned ensemble in the contemporary music scene.
The “Double Skin” program revolves around the concept of skin as a boundary that is both defining and permeable, an interface enabling the exchange of energy between entities. This musical project explores the boundary between the individuality of the two musicians and their instruments, while incorporating a third active element: electronics. The intimate relationship between the musician’s voice, the sound of the instrument, and the life of the electronics serves as the starting point for a concert dramaturgy designed as a ritual. The process of transformation and hybridization of sound, generated by the interaction between the instrument and electronics, drives the creation of new music for this unique ensemble.
