The Basler Pferdesporttage Schänzli is the largest outdoor horse-jumping event in northwestern Switzerland. Speed, excitement, top performances, trust between horse and rider—horse jumping is a dynamic and emotional sport. The Pferdesportanlage Schänzli (near the St. Jakob area), which was built in 1926 and extended over the years, can meet the most stringent requirements for top-class equestrian events.
There will be jumping competitions (obstacle size 110–135 cm) from 8:00–18:00 each day, concluding with the main competition (obstacle size up to 140 cm) on Sunday. About 350 riders and 650 horses will participate, for a total of 1,500 starts.
Spectators are most welcome. Entrance is free, so bring the family and experience some great equestrian sports live.
