For the six weeks of the school holidays, the children’s theater, Theater Arlecchino, is performing the play “Oh, Wie Schöön Isch Panama” (Oh, How Beautiful is Panama) at Park im Grünen.
“When you have a friend, you have nothing to fear!” Every child knows that the little bear and the little tiger are best friends. Together, the two are wonderfully strong, strong as a bear and strong as a tiger. One day, the little bear finds a box that smells of bananas from top to bottom. The box is labeled "Panama." So, the two friends set off to go there... Janosch's story of the little tiger and little bear on their way to the land of their dreams has delighted young and old for 40 years. The ageless wisdom and subtle humor have made "Oh how beautiful is Panama" a classic of children's literature that remains relevant today.
This Janosch classic for the whole family will be presented twice daily on Sundays to Fridays (as well as Saturday, August 9) in the arena at Park im Grünen (Grün 80), except for the Swiss National Day on August 1. The performance will last 55 minutes, without intermission, and you are free to come and go as you please; suitable for families with kids ages 4 and up. Shows will be cancelled in case of bad weather; confirm by checking the website after 12:00.
Admission is free and no reservation is required/possible. There will be a collection after the show to benefit the actors.
