For the six weeks of the school holidays, the children’s theater, Theater Arlecchino, is performing the play “Bremer Stadtmusikante” (The Musicians of Bremen) at the Wegmattenpark in Allschwil.
"You can find something better than death anywhere," says the donkey! He encourages his new friends, the dog, the cat, and the rooster, to join him as town musicians in Bremen. All of them have lost their jobs because they are no longer useful to their owners. On their way to Bremen, they discover a robber's house. After driving the robbers away, they decide to stay there and start a new life. Theater Arlecchino tells this adventurous fable from the Brothers Grimm’s collection in a unique and surprising way, drawing parallels to our society without becoming moralizing. The play is intended to be fun, provide plenty of laughs and smiles, and provide excellent entertainment for children and adults alike.
This play that is fun for the whole family will be presented twice daily (except Sundays) in the Wegmattenpark in Allschwil. The performance will last 55 minutes, without intermission, and you are free to come and go as you please; suitable for families with kids ages 4 and up. Shows will be cancelled in case of bad weather; confirm by checking the website after 12:00.
Admission is free and no reservation is required/possible. There will be a collection after the show to benefit the actors.
