The Markthalle in Basel will be hosting a day centered around the cherry (“Chirsi-Tag”). This region is famous for its many varieties of cherries, and this market will be dedicated to this gorgeous seasonal fruit, as well as some fine specialty cherry products in all shapes and colors—from freshly picked to canned, dried, and fermented; as juice; or in ice cream, cakes, and yogurt. There will also be all sorts of creative and homemade items at the creative market as well as educational workshops for the inquisitive.
