Christmas Trail in Aeschi (BE)

Escape the hectic Advent and Christmas season in the cities and spend a few cozy hours on the “Wiehnachtswäg” (Christmas trail) in Aeschi, about 1 hour and 45 minutes from Basel. You can learn about the Christmas story with six lovingly arranged images and installations and accompanying text. Starting at 17:00, lanterns and the lights next to the images will guide you along the way, which will take approximately 1 hour. It is recommended to bring your own flashlights to help you see the route even better.
It is recommended to arrive by PostBus, but if you arrive by car, there is a parking lot at the start of the trail (the Christmas trail begins on the right). Note that the number of parking spaces in the Wiehnachtswäg parking lot is limited but you can find parking alternatives in the village of Aeschi (approximately a 30-minute walk to the Wiehnachtswäg) or in Aeschiried (approximately a 20-minute walk).
Visiting the Weihnachtsweg is free, but you are welcome to leave a donation; you can find an IBAN on their website.
