Cinéma Solaire
If you are looking for a different outdoor movie experience, Cinéma Solaire offers a more intimate and ecological alternative. For three nights, they will be showing their movies at Petersplatz at 20:45. What’s so special about them is their environmentally friendly setup. They power their film projector with solar energy that is collected by solar cells during the day and then stored in a kind of battery. The screen is strung up between two trees or lampposts, and the audience brings their own chairs or blankets to sit on the ground. As a result, the whole setup is so compact that everything fits into two small trailers that can be pulled by a bike or easily taken on public transport. All their movies are shown in the original language with German subtitles. The movies will be shown in any weather, except storm, so bring your rain gear. Check out this unique cinema experience under the stars!
Entrance is “pay what you can” (suggested between CHF 10-20); can also pay online.
