The preparatory school for circus arts, Cirque Intense, will be hitting the road this summer and going on tour with their brand-new contemporary circus production, “I Measure Therefore I am”! We are constantly being compared, evaluated, measured, optimized. In their final production, "I measure, therefore I am," the artists of Cirque Intense confront the questions of our time: "Am I enough?" "How much performance counts?" "When is enough?" Using acrobatics, dance, and the tools of contemporary circus, they have created a powerful, energetic piece about pressure, self-image, and societal expectations—and about not letting (only) them define you.
The piece is the culmination of Cirque Intense's eighth year and the result of an intensive year of training filled with personal and collective development. They will be travelling through Germany and Switzerland with this show, with one stop in Basel on June 19 in the Querfeldhalle at Gundeldinger Feld Areal. Bring the whole family and help support the next generation of circus artists!
Entrance is free but there will be a collection.
