The stars shine brightly at the Klassik Sterne Rheinfelden concert series, launched by the Hochrhein Music Festival. Since the 2010/11 season, artistic director Sol Gabetta and cultural manager Christoph Müller have been bringing top-class classical music stars to Rheinfelden to offer audiences a broad and diverse program.
On this evening, the CelloFellos' sonic journey begins when the cello dances, swings, and narrates. With "Global Grooves," they unleash a musical firework display: tradition meets zeitgeist, classical flirts with jazz, and folkloric rhythms blend with passionate tango. Experience how Bartók's wild melodies bring the soul of Romania to life, how Leonard Disselhorst and Bryan Cheng coax a variety of voices from their cellos. The majestic Toichis Mountains unfold in sonic splendor before Piazzolla catapults you into the fiery atmosphere of Buenos Aires.
Tickets are CHF 59-79 for adults and half-price for youths up to age 18 and students.
