Dance — Prélude

“Prélude” is born of a breath—that of the first cry, of the vital impulse. A major figure in hip-hop dance, Kader Attou revisits his own journey: childhood in the suburbs of Lyon, the discovery of boxing, and the power of hip-hop as a space for emancipation. Nine dancers embody this humanity in tension with breathtaking virtuosity—through close-contact encounters, breathing, surges of energy, and resistance.
Driven by Romain Dubois’s electro-acoustic music, which steadily builds in intensity from start to finish, the choreography becomes a metaphor for a struggle that is physical, poetic, and fraternal. Swept up in their raw energy, the dancers’ movements reveal the full poetry and beauty of the collective.
Tickets are € 12-26.
