The Musikschule Riehen, a part of the Musik-Akademie Basel, offers children and young people customized music lessons. They provide musical education in various forms with competence and enthusiasm.
On this day, they are inviting anyone interested in learning a musical instrument to simply stop by from 10:30–13:00. The day will start at 10:30 in the music room with a musical instrument presentation for children ages 6 and up. Afterwards, from around 11:00-13:00, you can get to know the music instruments and teachers—touch, see, hear, and even try them out with the expert guidance of the respective music teachers in the classrooms. They will provide you with an orientation guide to choosing the right instrument and introduce you to their versatile program. Maybe you'll also discover instruments that you don't know yet, but that are particularly interesting, such as the bassoon or the oboe. Let yourself be surprised! If you need a break, you can refresh yourself with drinks and croissants; the Café Mobil Xav Café will be present at the music school especially for this purpose.
