Festival Terroir Suisse

The Swiss Terroir Products Competition is an opportunity for producers of terroir products, domiciled in Switzerland, to present their products to a jury composed of tasting specialists, producers, and consumers to win prestigious medals and awards, including the Prix d'Excellence and Best Swiss Producers awards. The Best Producer Award recognizes the work of a producer, rather than a particular product and will be given to the producer who obtains the best average score on at least three different products submitted in the same category, of which there are five milk products; bakery/pastry products; meat products; fruits, vegetables, honey, and other various products; and alcoholic drinks. For the second time, there will also be an innovation prize awarded to products whose ingredients, manufacturing process, and social benefits (sustainability, ethics and nutritional physiology) constitute an innovation for regional products.
This year’s competition and award ceremony is scheduled for Friday, September 26, 2025 in Delémont. It will be followed by a large market of local food products on Saturday and Sunday that is open to the public. About 350 producers from every canton in Switzerland will be presenting more than 1,000 of their high-quality products. All products presented on the stand can be offered for tasting and sale. Set in a pleasant green environment, this market will be a meeting place for all gourmets, allowing them to stroll leisurely from stand to stand and to discover the flavors of Swiss local and regional products. The guest of honor in this year’s competition is the Canton of Vaud.
In addition to delicious local foods and products, there will be workshops, food production demonstrations, tractor rides, plenty of activities for the kids, as well as music and entertainment. Delémont is about an hour from Basel; visitors can take the train to Délémont followed by a shuttle bus or walk (3 km from Delémont station); there is also free parking.
Tickets are CHF 12 for adults and free for kids under age 16 and are available at the ticket booths at the entrance of the event.
