“Friday Beyeler” is an invitation to start the weekend off with a relaxed Friday evening visit to the museum. The Friday Beyeler evenings during the summer period are all about the current exhibition. This experimental presentation of contemporary art is conceived as a "living organism" that changes and transforms throughout its duration. A variety of paintings, sculptures, films, installations, and performances, which are created site-specifically for the exhibition, provide a thematic impulse for the evening and thus offer the opportunity for undisturbed enjoyment of art into the evening hours.
Rirkrit Tiravanija transforms the terrace into a place for encounters and dialogue. In his “Old smokey lounge,” visitors are invited to linger over baos and boulevardiers.
The restaurant invites you to enjoy an aperitif and delicious sharing dishes with extended opening hours until 22:00.
“Friday Beyeler” is included in the regular museum admission price of the museum. For a minimum restaurant order of CHF 25 per person, admission to the museum on the same evening is free!
