Over 10 years ago, the Groove Now! founder saw Mike Zito perform at a New Year's Eve event in Texas where Zito and his band played a tribute to the still-unforgettable Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR). This memorable evening was the impetetus for this project at the 2026 Groove Now! Blues Weeks, which will be performed by Mike Zito. He will be joined on stage by the two heavyweights Albert Castiglia and Jimmy Carpenter; the rhythm section of Jimi Bott and Willy Barber; and Freddie King's former keyboardist, Lewis Stephens. Together, they will perform the magnificent music of CCR. Look forward to songs like "Have You Ever Seen the Rain," "Hey Tonight," "Bad Moon Rising," and "Born on the Bayou." The raw and inimitable voices of CCR's songwriter, singer, and frontman will be perfectly represented by the combined voices of Zito and Castiglia. This concert will take place exclusively at the Groove Now! Blues Weeks Basel 2026.
