Chicago blues legend, singer, guitarist, songwriter, and bandleader Nick Moss is one of the most important—if not the most important—contemporary representatives of Chicago blues. Moss has released many great albums—in recent years on the world’s most famous blues label, Alligator Records. He has received numerous awards for his work, including Band of the Year, Album of the Year, and many others. Moss is undoubtedly the best Chicago has to offer when it comes to the blues. His latest album, “Get You Back Into It!” proves once again that while he has truly internalized the Chicago blues, he is also carrying it into the future. His music encompasses traditional Chicago blues as well as Louisiana swamp pop, West Coast blues, and New Orleans funk. It’s no surprise that he was recently named Band of the Year once again.
Alongside his formidable bassist Rodrigo Mantovani and drummer Pierce Downer, he will be joined for this concert by blues greats Bob Welsh, Andrew Duncanson, and the Spaniard Victor Puertas.
