Since 2007, with a lot of volunteer commitment and passion, Piano di Primo has been organizing jazz concerts that enable artists of national and international importance to introduce the audience to tried and tested musical specialties and novel ideas. They are organizing a few events per year in the Fachwerk building (Allschwil Local History Museum) in the middle of the idyllic village center of Allschwil, where you can spoil yourself with selected wines, a cold beer, or non-alcoholic refreshments from the bar.
German pianist Hauke Ströh’s playing is deeply moving. He makes the piano strings resonate, touching and strengthening the listener emotionally and intellectually, warming, stirring, delighting, captivating, and inspiring confidence and composure. His repertoire includes large-scale compositions as well as miniatures and improvisations. He also offers compelling interpretations of gems by Eric Clapton, Simon & Garfunkel, and Sting. Stylistically, this Hamburg-based musician moves within the realms of cool pop, folk, jazz, and modern classical music, at times with an almost late-Romantic, song-like quality. Ströh was among the top 10 on Spotify's "(Neo) Classical" playlist, alongside Nils Frahm and Ólafur Arnalds.
