Hussain Aga Khan: Taking Effective Action. For More Resilient Oceans.

On this day, the internationally recognized, award-winning nature photographer and environmental ambassador Prince Hussain Aga Khan is a guest at the Naturhistorisches Museum Basel to give a presentation in conjunction with their current exhibition, “Wildlife Photographer of the Year.” With his organization, Focused On Nature, Prince Hussain is committed to the protection of biodiversity, threatened and endangered species, and fragile habitats worldwide—through the lens of photography, raising awareness, and education initiatives, and by supporting nature conservation projects. At the center of his talk are stories of first-hand encounters with marine life, the threats they face, and the changes Prince Hussain has witnessed above and below the surface.
Focused on Nature advocates for global marine conservation—particularly marine protected areas (MPAs) and the protection of whales, dolphins, mobulidae (manta rays and devilfishes), sharks, and sea turtles—while inspiring the public to join these efforts through exhibitions and illustrated talks that highlight the beauty and vulnerability of our blue planet.
The presentation will be held in English.
Admission is free, but registration is required.
