Kulturtreppe — Freaky Audio Machine

The Kulturtreppe kicks off its ninth edition with a big party: The three guys from Freaky Audio Machine play their very personal favorite R'n'B and hip-hop tracks with explosive live energy. From Eminem to Backstreet Boys, Beyoncé to Spice Girls, Macklemore to Bruno Mars, they will transform the MUKS courtyard into a dance floor under the starry sky.
Elias von Arx, Luka Wartmann, and Sam Schwalm are all well-known Swiss bands and sought-after session musicians (Zian, Anna Rossinelli, Florian Ast, Bligg, etc.). They met while studying music and, for about 10 years, played over 200 concerts in Switzerland with their synth-pop-rock project Hot like Sushi (Gurtenfestival, 8x15, OneFM Star Night, etc.). Their captivating live show also thrilled international audiences in the United States and London, where the Daily Mirror described them as "The best thing to come out of Switzerland since chocolate...". With their new project, Freaky Audio Machine, the trio now celebrates their love for the last 40 years of R&B and hip-hop history, delivering a top-notch, cross-generational party live set.
Food and drinks, as well as savory and sweet snacks, will be provided by Markthalle Basel, Libanicious, and Pötit Cräperie. In case of bad weather, the concerts will take place indoors.
Entrance is free but there will be a collection.
