Kulturtreppe — Malummi & Alexia Thomas

The third night of the ninth edition of the Kulturtreppe presents enchanting dream pop and alternative indie-folk made in Basel. Malummí's music is indie folk, electronica, and alternative rock with profound lyrics that question societal norms and captivating music. It is enchanting, powerful, and uplifting. The trio released their new album, "Damaged by Their Silence," this spring and are currently touring internationally with Black Sea Dahu. Malummí will be opening the show on the Kulturtreppe stage on Saturday.
Alexia Thomas' sound is also cinematic. With her band, the singer and producer blends experimental electronic and acoustic sounds with dream pop and indie rock. Her latest album, "Based on a Dream," explores dream worlds and utopias, transporting the audience into her own unique sonic realms. With a bit of luck, you might even see a collaboration with Malummí singer Larissa… In any case, this evening promises two fantastic Basel indie acts in the MUKS Museum courtyard!
Food and drinks, as well as savory and sweet snacks, will be provided by Markthalle Basel, Libanicious, and Pötit Cräperie. In case of bad weather, the concerts will take place indoors.
Entrance is free but there will be a collection.
