Lily’s Winter Treasure Hunt

Chests full of gold and diamonds, immeasurable wealth, fame and glory—who hasn't dreamed of finding treasure?
Every year on the last weekend of the winter season, the dream becomes reality and the First mountain station becomes an Eldorado for treasure hunters. Young and old alike romp around in the snow on Switzerland's biggest treasure hunt and dig for all they're worth. Whoever finds one of the coveted 30 chests can collect their prize at the end-of-season party in Grindelwald—fame and glory included.
Cable car operation to the First station starts at 8:00. Tickets also are for sale, and start numbers are issued, from 8:30-11:00 at the First mountain restaurant, and the treasure hunt takes place from 11:00-14:30. Prizes are presented at 17:00.
Participation cost is CHF 15 per person from age 10. Children ages 4-9 can take part in the event free of charge but require a participation ticket that must be exchanged for a start number when the start numbers are issued. You can purchase your ticket on their website. Tickets do not include the cable care ride from Grindelwald to First.
