Longines CHI Classics Basel (International Horse Jumping)
This Grand Prix horse-jumping championship and dressage show at St. Jakobshalle will host some of the world’s the best horses and riders. Large sums of prize money will be awarded to the winners of the individual competitions, including amateur classes. The event attracts entries from successful Olympians and world, European, and Swiss champions.
With the three disciplines of show jumping, dressage, and vaulting, the 2025 sports program is more varied than ever before. Each of the four tournament days offers outstanding sporting highlights. It starts on Thursday with the Prize of the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois Basel; the sporting highlight on Friday is the Longines Grand Prix. On Saturday, the Gerüstbau Nordwest speed and handiness class and the Championat of the City of Basel for the Golden Drum demand top performances from the athletes. The crowning finale on Sunday will be the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup.
From Thursday to Saturday, well-known Swiss music stars—Jan Seven Dettwyler, Stefanie Heinzmann, and Pegasus—will be performing their greatest hits to get the audience on their feet. It will be particularly emotional on Sunday afternoon, when the exceptional dressage horse TSF Dalera BB bids farewell to the audience in Switzerland with an inspiring freestyle after an incredible number of successes with her rider Jessica von Bredow-Werndl.
There are only 6,000 seats available, and the first-class seating is complemented by exclusive culinary delights and a wide choice of equestrian products and services.
