This Grand Prix horse-jumping championship and dressage show at St. Jakobshalle will host some of the world’s the best horses and riders. Large sums of prize money will be awarded to the winners of the individual competitions, including amateur classes. The event attracts entries from successful Olympians and world, European, and Swiss champions.
With the three disciplines of show jumping and dressage, each of the four tournament days offers outstanding sporting highlights. It starts on Thursday with the Prize of the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois Basel; the sporting highlight on Friday is the Longines Grand Prix. On Saturday, the the FEI Dressage World Cup and the Championat of the City of Basel for the Golden Drum demand top performances from the athletes. The crowning finale on Sunday will be the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup.
From Thursday to Saturday, the Swiss illusionist Peter Marvey will amaze with his program “Magician without limits.” He makes dancers float; makes himself disappear; and creates illusions out of light, smoke, and fire. His signature act is the flying carriage, a masterpiece of magic. Pulled by majestic horses, the seven-horse carriage floats through the arena in a perfectly synchronized dance above the clouds.
There are only 6,000 seats available, and the first-class seating is complemented by exclusive culinary delights and a wide choice of equestrian products and services.
Tickets cost CHF 10-225 (discounts for kids up to age 16 with I.D.) and go quickly, especially for weekend events. Therefore, it is recommended that you book your tickets in advance through Ticketcorner (https://www.ticketcorner.ch/) or Ticketmaster (https://www.ticketmaster.ch/).
