Longines CHI Classics Basel (International Horse Jumping)

This Grand Prix horse-jumping championship at St. Jakobshalle will host some of the world’s the best horses and riders. Large sums of prize money will be awarded to the winners of the 17 individual competitions, including amateur classes. The event attracts entries from successful Olympians and world, European, and Swiss champions. Nine jumping competitions at five-star level, eight of which count towards the world rankings, are on the program. Each day of the tournament offers at least one highlight. It starts on Thursday with the Prize of the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois Basel; the sporting highlight on Friday is the Longines Grand Prix with prize money of CHF 200,000. On Saturday, the Dach + Holztech speed and handiness class and the Championat of the City of Basel for the Golden Drum demand top performances from the athletes. The crowning finale on Sunday will be the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup, which will be endowed with CHF 330,000 for the first time. There will also be two dressage competitions that are at the highest possible level and count as World Cup qualifiers.
Each of the four days has a different program. There are only 6,000 seats available, and the first-class seating is complemented by exclusive culinary delights and a wide choice of equestrian products and services.
Tickets cost CHF 58.60–201.90 (discounts for kids up to age 12 with I.D.) and go quickly, especially for weekend events.
