On these two days, 39 businesses between Weil am Rhein and Freiburg will open their courtyards and cellars to present their current wine collection to all wine-interested visitors. They will showcase the new 2025 vintage, which is characterized by fresh fruit and their vibrant nature, as well as top wines from past harvests for tasting. These top wines that are bottled after long maturation in the cellar reflect the strength and minerality of the soils of the Markgräflerland. The vineyard soils, with their high proportion of calcareous rock, guarantee multifaceted, complex, and age-worthy wines. This applies not only to the widely grown Gutedel and the classic Burgundy grape varieties, but also to Chardonnay and, for some years now, Sauvignon Blanc, which are almost among the classics in this region.
On this weekend, all are invited to experience the diversity of the Markgräflerland region. Spend a weekend hopping from winery to winery and get to know the Markgräflerland wineries that open their doors, their cellars, and of course, their wines to you. Taste the new vintages and meet the people behind the good taste.
