Martinů Festival — Chamber Music
Since 1995, the pianist Robert Kolinsky together with his team endeavors to bring renowned artists to Basel for an annual classical music festival to popularize the works of Czech composer Bohuslav Martinů. The festival, which is regarded by the media as “the smallest but finest of its kind,” this year includes four concerts and one film.
On this evening, the trio of Thomas Zehetmair on violin, Ruth Killius on viola, and Daniel Haefliger on cello will be playing Ludwig van Beethoven’s String Trio in D major, op.9, No. 2; Thomas Zehetmair’s String Trio (2023); Ludwig van Beethoven’s String Trio in C minor, op.9, No. 3; and Bohuslav Martinů’s String Trio No. 1, H136 (1932).
