Since 1995, the pianist Robert Kolinsky together with his team endeavors to bring renowned artists to Basel for an annual classical music festival to popularize the works of Czech composer Bohuslav Martinů. The festival, which is regarded by the media as “the smallest but finest of its kind,” this year includes four concerts and one film.
On this evening, chansonnier Vladimir Korneev, accompanied by pianist and arranger Markus Syperek, will be presenting a program from the deepest feelings of the soul and entitled “C’est Le Bonheur, C’est Le Plaisir! ‘Youkali,’” which includes chansons and cabaret songs by Kurt Weill and Bohuslav Martinů.
